SCBA FIREFIGHTER TRAINING
HAAGEN can provide your trainees with a challenging yet safe and controlled environment for gaining mask confidence and confined space operations skills.
SCBA training can take place in any type of training structure, from an add-on to your training complex, or a container, mobile or fixed facility. All training environments can be adapted to suit the instructor’s training needs. The entire system is visually monitored from a remote control room.
To further enhance the realism of the scenarios and provide additional challenges, a range of obstacles and special effects can be added to the training system. Moveable obstacles can require additional physical effort from the trainee, testing his or her stamina and making it even more critical that they manage their breathing techniques. The space can be outfitted with doors and hatches that can be opened or sealed with magnetic locks to intensify the scenario. Alternatively, some doors can be fitted with a key-code panel so that the trainee has to open them during the exercise. The locks are operated from the control room and in an emergency all can be released instantly to create a safe situation.
Leaking gas pipes, valves that need to be shut off, and electrical systems that must be disconnected can also be added. The training environment can be either lit or unlit, filled with smoke and the optional heating system can raise the temperature to over 50°C as well as raising the humidity level.
Additional projects include the creation of a fitness area to make your SCBA training complete. This are is specially designed for hard physical exercise in full fire fighting gear, including breathing apparatus. With the trainee’s condition really put to the test, this is the ideal place to practice breathing techniques before entering the training environment.
